IIM Ahmedabad – Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) is looking for services of an Advisor for all its Information Technology (IT) needs under the guidance and supervision of the Chairperson, Computer Services Committee and administratively reporting to the Dean (Programs).

Job Description:
- The advisor will need to contribute towards enhancing overall productivity of various academic and administrative activities by crafting an appropriate strategy for bringing new technologies to the campus and integrating these technologies with specific needs of the Institute.
- Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.
- Help evolve IT vision for the Institute, associated policies and procedures.
- Propose strategic solutions, recommend new systems, software, IT/AV Infrastructure and take it to the next level.
- Help identify viable technologies for providing online delivery and rich experience in online and hybrid Executive Programmes and Long Duration Programmes, in line with preferences and needs of IIMA.
- Suggest ways to ensure effective business controls and implementation through SAP.
- Responsible for devising the strategy for implementation and change management for all IT applications including SAP.
- Provide inputs for use of technology and applications in an integrated manner for educational as well as administrative purposes.
- Act as subject matter expert to guide, coach and develop IT related competencies in
- relevant employees of the institute, including use of IT for internal training purposes.
Qualification & Experience
- The Advisor – IT should have formal Masters level qualifications (from a reputed Institute) or proven extensive background in Computer Science/ Information Technology. Professional Certificates will be an added advantage.
- He/she should have minimum of 20 years of professional experience out of which 10 years must be in the field of IT at a senior level.
- It is desirable that the person suitable for this role should have direct exposure to educational institutes.
Age Limit
Up to 65 years as on the last date of application. Retired professionals satisfying the above criteria can also apply
Reporting to
The selected person will functionally report to the Chairperson, Computer Services Committee and administratively will report to the Dean (Programs).
Professional Fees
The person selected for the position has to sign one-year professional service agreement at mutually agreeable terms and conditions with the Institute. A fixed monthly fees will be paid and the agreement may be extended for further duration as per the mutual convenience.
